We're down to just one or two games remaining. 980 has a substantial but not insurmountable lead of, well, just about 980. Through 106 years of post-season play, going back to the first World Series in 1903, no one has ever overcome that big a Prediction Game lead at this point in the Series. But there is always a first time.

Cards, and I'm pretty sure that's the only option. Cause if you choose Rangers, and you win, you still can't catch up to 980, and the game would be over because the Rangers winning ends the postseason. I sense a plot hole.

Based on the way the game is scored, this is not necessarily true.Cards, and I'm pretty sure that's the only option. Cause if you choose Rangers, and you win, you still can't catch up to 980, and the game would be over because the Rangers winning ends the postseason. I sense a plot hole.

It also depends on how you value other results, such as coming in second instead of third, or avoiding last place, or finishing above 5,000 points (which is where you started). Or indeed perhaps there are those who prefer last place, which after all is where nice guys finish.
