See link. It says it all. (But if he has good secondary pitches I think Alderson should interpose himself and snag him for the rotation!)

All he needs is a fastball. It comes to the plate slow and smooth making the opposing batter fall asleep.

Kenny G makes people fall asleep.

Smooth jazz is not jazz.

Well, I always did like Chuck Mangione's "FEELS SO GOOD"

This is a great song

but most of smooth jazz in my mind is awful. And Kenny G makes Grover Washington Jr. look like Thelonius Monk. Just ask Pat Metheny (who apparently loathes Kenny G).

I have a love-hate relationship with smooth jazz. Well, at least what I know as smooth jazz whenever I listen to a station touted as smooth jazz. Half of it I love, and it's usually coming from an R&B side with a strong beat. Then again, it just might be just R&B on a smooth jazz station.

But, yeah, the other half is terrible. Kenny G is something we can all hate.

That's an odd cross-instrument comparison to make. Perhaps Kenny G makes Grover Washington Jr. [sound] like Ornette (which of course he doesn't, because he wasn't good either).

And why does someone like Pat Metheny even feel the need to talk about Kenny G?

Apparently Metheny is incensed that anyone even lumps him in the same genre as Kenny the G. Here's his comment on the subject - http://www.jazzoasis...enyonkennyg.htm
