My name is Andrew Vazzano and I've been pointed in this direction by a few wonderful people on Twitter.
For three years, I've run TheRopolitans.com, a New York Mets blog.
Anyway...I'm here now and I hope to participate is some insightful discussion about the team we all love.
And if you have a chance, stop by my blog. I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks,
-AV

Thank you, thank you.Welcome aboard Andrew, love the blog and can't recommend it highly enough to my fellow posters. In fact today would be a great day for many of our posters to check it out given the awesome "23 years ago" entry from this morning.
Here's a link to the post he's mentioning: http://theropolitans...-years-ago.html
Unfortunately, I wasn't alive yet, so I haven't seen a WS championship in person (and I don't count on it for at least a few more years).

Great to have you on board here. I've been reading your blog since I heard about it on Twitter around the end of May, and it has been one of my daily stops ever since.

Matt Cerrone on 7/22/09:
"October 2006 seems like a lifetime ago, doesn’t it…"
Dana Brand - January 2010
"Try not to despair about the upcoming season. If it made sense to root for the Mets, we would have given it up a long time ago."
Steven Hirsch - May 2010
“To be a Mets fan requires an incredible amount of patience, discipline, and tolerance, among other traits. It’s a non-stop job that will often cause much crying, screaming, cheering, and clapping throughout an average day. But most importantly, being a Mets fan means knowing that there are 162 games in a season. There is always time to make up for your mistakes, and there is always time to catch other teams.”[/size]
Danny Abriano - November 2010(before hiring of new manager)
I will never stop being a Mets fan. I will never stop caring about them. I will never stop hanging on every pitch, waiting for that next incredible moment.
